Life saving proteins for all people

Our project's aim is to provide lifesaving treatments at a price that more people can afford  -even those living in developing nations.

A special protein found in blood can be used to heal wounds and stop bleeding in very ill patients as well as promote healing of the cornea of the eye. This protein, called fibronectinis found in human blood. The difficult part is separating it out, a process which is currently time consuming and very expensive. Our project is to refine a new process for separating it out quickly and cheaply. Fibronectin is a very large protein so getting pure fibronectin is quite tricky. We are excited to be working with Prime biologics and helping them to refine their special separation process.
